For my book design final, the program was given the text - Letters to a Young Poet by Rilke. Reading the text and connecting it to my own life made the process so meaningful and allowed me to bring a unique perspective to the project. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the idea of letting go and allowing things to unfold naturally.
From the abstract charcoal drawings I created for the backgrounds to the textures formed through experimental typography, this project pushed me out of my comfort zone. It’s probably the most experimental work I’ve done—and one of the most fun!
